NEW YEAR - NEW ME

Or not.

It is the same You – with the same ability to choose. Just as you do every day throughout the year.

But somehow this year is different than last year.

Is it perspective?

Based on the experiences of 2020 we now have the perspective of what is truly important.

Good health, social relations and being able to explore and grow is not a given.

It has to be cherished.

Just as a healthy planet is not a given either. It has to be treasured, nurtured and taken care of.

By all of us.

You can easily make a difference. For instance by using less and better.

Napkins instead of paper towels

Think about all the times you have used a paper napkin or towel. If you swap them with a reusable napkin you are one big step closer to a zero-waste lifestyle. Just use the napkin as normal and then throw it in with the rest of your laundry - it's that easy!

Organic and/or reusable sanitary pads

In the UK alone a woman uses over 11,000 disposable menstrual products based on 37.5 years of menstruating (worldbank.org). Imagine this waste on a global scale! And more importantly, imagine the positive change that is within reach if you just buy less and better products. There are so many options, for instance reusable pads which are 100% plastic free, menstrual cups and fabric tampons.

Organic cotton cloth instead of wet wipes

Instead of single-use wet wipes which contain plastic, it is a much better choice to use a regular cloth made of organic cotton. It is absorbent, soft, and easy to use – repeatedly.

It is not only a better choice for you, but also for the environment.

Organic tights instead of nylon tights

Tights are 'the single-use plastic' of the fashion industry. And sometimes you only need to wear them once before they are damaged and thrown away due to their lack of endurance. To make things worse, they are not biodegradable because they are made of nylon. Luckily, it possible for you to buy long lasting and environmentally friendly tights.

Face masks

They are everywhere! You find them discarded on the streets, in parks, in rivers and even when hiking in rural nature. They are causing an enormous amount of waste globally, we encourage you to choose a more eco-friendly reusable mask instead. Or even better, create one yourself?
