Repair café
Caring for textiles means keeping them in use
At The Organic Company, we believe that responsibility does not end when a product is sold.
It continues in how we use it, care for it and how long we choose to keep it.
That is why we regularly host Repair Cafés.
A space where people can bring worn or damaged textiles, learn simple repair techniques and experience that a small repair can extend the life of something significantly.
Because not everything needs replacing.
In a world shaped by fast fashion and constant consumption, repairing can feel almost radical.
A loose seam, a small hole or worn edges are often seen as the end of a product’s life. We see it differently.
For us, repair is part of care.
And care is part of responsibility.
Repairing textiles keeps materials in use for longer, reduces waste and reminds us that the value of an object does not disappear because it shows signs of life.
In many ways, wear tells a story.
Our Repair Cafés are not only about fixing textiles. They are about sharing knowledge, slowing down and reconnecting with the things we own.
They create space for conversations about consumption, quality and the idea that less can often be enough.
This is closely connected to our philosophy:
Less is better.
Buying less.
Choosing better.
Keeping longer.
And when needed, repairing.
Because the most responsible textile is often the one you already own.
